Here at Crossen Engineering, we work closely with leading companies in the local marine sector, manufacturing essential brackets and fittings used in life-saving equipment.
Crucial in the safety of the users, the team had to consider the environmental conditions whilst designing these life-saving equipment, as prolonged exposure to elements such as the cold and saltwater could cause serious harm. This meant testing and designing had to be made to ensure the approriate material was selected.
Since then, the team have worked alongside the local marine sector developing dry-shod evacuation systems as well as support cleats for safety and rescue, and off-shore training.
With our specialist background in injection moulded components, we supply Ireland’s largest sportswear provider with safety-approved GAA hurling helmets.
Being in partnership with O’Neills sportswear for over a decade, we assist in the helmets’ design, tooling, prototyping and overall production. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure we were in keeping with the safety standards set by NSAI IS 355 (2006), creating an over-moulded cased that ensured wearer durability, comfort, and safety.
With our on-site digitally-controlled machines, we produce hundreds of thousands components weekly in various sizes and colours.
