Whether you’re launching a new medical product, refining an existing one or developing a replacement for a component you currently buy, Crossen Engineering is ideally placed to help you move from design to production. We engineer all the tooling needed to bring your medical device or component to life, then manufacture it using medical-grade metals.
We quickly and efficiently manufacture both short-run prototypes and large volume production runs.
Our state-of-the-art machinery forms anything from the smallest medical component through to large parts for mobility aids.
With tooling and manufacturing
all done at our premises outside Belfast, N. Ireland, you will avoid delays and keep lead times in check.
We understand that the medical industry demands perfection. We will cost-effectively revise your prototype until the product is working as you want it and getting the right feedback from user trials.
Medical device manufacturer Armstrong Medical is no stranger to injection moulding its own plastic products, but needed a specialist partner to create a metal component for a new product. They approached us to create a small circular aluminium disc with draw- formed sides for its AquaVENT® Heater Humidifier respiratory device.
Based on decades of experience of how metals respond to the forming process, we identified a medical-grade aluminium that would ensure the end product worked in accordance with Armstrong Medical’s design. A prototype run of trays was manufactured, then sent away for trials.
With the tests completed successfully, we manufactured production tooling and started full production of the tray for its use in hospitals. We inspect each of the trays before they leave our site to ensure the highest standards of quality control.
Armstrong Medical now has full control over their medical device that is designed, manufactured, and assembled in Ireland. Given that the trays are currently produced at a rate of 10,000 per month, we have helped the company to make considerable savings.
We would love to talk to you about your latest designs and the options we can offer for manufacturing it quickly, efficiently and precisely.
